Wildhive
The best firework displays in and around the Peak District
With its glorious displays, hearty fireside food and warming tipples, Bonfire Night is an annual treat for the whole family. This year, we’ll be celebrating this quintessentially British tradition with our very own display, right here in the grounds of Wildhive Callow Hall.
The award-winning Pyrotex will be lighting up the skies above the house between 6:30-7pm and we’ll be serving up spiced mulled wine and hot chocolate (complete with marshmallows) from our Garden Room bar. Entry is completely free, and we still have a handful of rooms available so you can really make a night of it.
And while we’d love to see you all on Bonfire Night, there are plenty of other events going on all over Derbyshire and the Peak District. To help you plan your festivities, we’ve put together a list of some of the very best firework displays and celebrations in the Peaks.
The ClayRooms, Ashbourne
Bonfire Raku | £75
5th November
Just a short drive from the house, The ClayRooms is a great place to try your hand at something new, and this year, they’ll be hosting an alternative event. Experience the fiery and dramatic process of Raku and decorate two of their pots before firing it in the outdoor kiln. The team will provide supper, and you can take your choice of drink to enjoy, too.
Chatsworth House, Bakewell
Bonfire and fireworks | Adults £17, children £11
28th October
Chatsworth House will be hosting a blazing bonfire, complete with two spectacular firework shows, including an earlier display for any little ones. Be sure to wrap up and warm - there’s a hog roast, churros, sweet treats, mulled wine and cider.
Eyam
Eyam Village Bonfire | Adults £8, children £4
5th November
This historic village has a Bonfire Night tradition all of its own. Join the torch-lit procession that marches through town carrying the Willow Rat, a reminder of the plague which struck the town in 1665, before arriving at the bonfire where the rat is set alight to start the firework display. Delicious food and drinks are on offer, including bonfire favourites like local farmhouse sausage hotdogs, jacket potatoes and homemade soups and breads, plus mulled wine, locally brewed beer, hot drinks, and toffee.
Buxton Cricket Ground
Buxton Fireworks Spectacular | Advance tickets: Adults £6.50, children £3.50, families £17
6th November
Buxton’s annual celebrations offer an evening of entertainment for the whole family. With everything from fire performers and acrobatics to group dances and fairground rides, this is much more than a firework display. You’ll also find plenty of hot food vendors so you can tuck into classic Bonfire Night snacks before the main display starts at 7:20pm.
