Celebrate Negroni Week

To celebrate Negroni Week 2023, Wildhive have partnered with our friends at White Peak Distillery to treat one lucky winner to a bottle of Shining Cliff Original Gin and £100 to spend on drinks at the Garden Restaurant bar.

Wildhive Bar Manager, Micky has created a delicious Derbyshire twist on the iconic Negroni in collaboration with White Peak Distillery.

The Bird on a Wire (Derbyshire Negroni) features White Peak's Shining Cliff Original Gin, an award-winning Derbyshire dry gin from the region's first full-scale distillery and Necessary Evil Stout from local Thornbridge Brewery replacing the traditional ingredient Vermouth.

The Derbyshire Negroni

Made with equal 25ml measures of:
• Shining Cliff Original Gin
• Necessary Evil Stout
• Campari
• Orange slice or strip of orange peel to garnish

Stir together with ice for a minute until the outside of the glass feels really cold. Strain into a rocks glass or tumbler over some fresh ice. Garnish with orange slice or twist. Cheers!

White Peak Distillery

White Peak Distillery, founded in 2016, is Derbyshire’s first full-scale craft distillery, making award-winning whisky, gin and rum with a proud Derbyshire provenance. Located at the former Johnson and Nephew wire works by a river and in an ancient woodland with a rich history. 

The small, dedicated team is at the heart of the Distillery. They craft the whisky, gins and rum with care, and they mature, bottle and label them on site. Every member of the team is passionate about what they do – making spirits the proper way, with honesty and endeavour.
