CHRISTMAS MARKET AT
Chatsworth House

There is no better way to start your Christmas shopping than at the Chatsworth Christmas market. Over 100 market stalls offering a wide range of Christmas gifts and decorations plus live music and seasonal food and drink, it's a lovely way to welcome in the festive season.

Chatsworth House

Chatsworth are presenting The Enchanted Garden, an immersive, multi-sensory experience created in collaboration with acclaimed British artists and animators that transports visitors into a realm where the mystical spirit of the natural world reigns during midwinter.
Explore 20 extraordinary spaces transformed with light, sound, and shadow play, featuring towering Christmas trees, grand mistletoe clusters, shimmering copper toadstools, and twirling oak leaf archways, all inspired by nature's wonders, while animated projections awaken enchanted fairies, woodland creatures crouch in secret corners, and tiny doorways hint at pathways to hidden lands.
The experience weaves together treasures from the Devonshire Collections with new commissions by Peak District-based artists alongside majestic willow sculptures by internationally renowned artist Emma Stothard, inviting visitors to pause, explore, and celebrate the magic of the season as winter settles in.

MERCATUM MARKET & Christmas events at
Haddon Hall
Medieval Haddon Hall with its beautifully decorated courtyards, rooms and galleries will host over 180 artisans and makers at the famous Mercatum Artisan Market. Amongst the twinkling lights, luxury decorations and beautiful Christmas trees, grown on the estate, visitors can peruse the produce and gifts of talented artists, ceramicists, stationers, candle makers, perfumers, chocolatiers, jewellers and many more.
Warm yourself with freshly-made street food, hot chocolate and mulled wine whilst live music adds to the cosy festive atmosphere.
The Market will be open Wednesday~Sundays from 12th November to Sunday 14th December. Booking is recommended. (Closed Mondays & Tuesdays)

Ashbourne
Christmas Light Switch On
Saturday 15th November
Christmas Fair in the Upper Ballroom, Town Hall ~ 11am-6pm
Music and Entertainment ~ from 4.30pm
Assemble around the Christmas tree for the big light up at 5.30pm when Ashbourne comes to life with sparkling illuminations.
Festive music and entertainment and of course Father Christmas and Mrs Claus will be appearing with their helpful elves with this year's theme featuring Star Wars and Disney's Frozen.
Lantern Spectacular
Friday 5th December - 5pm-8.30pm
Hundreds of candle-lit willow and paper lanterns are displayed through the town of Ashbourne in a lively procession with pulsating rhythms, dynamic choreography and dramatic lighting. Shops stay open late, market stalls and street food.
This annual community event is supported by Ashbourne Arts who run lantern and puppet making workshops for members of the local community.
