Easter at Wildhive
Spring gatherings
Spring is emerging throughout the woodland, meadows and gardens. Book a stay in a woodland Hive or house bedroom and enjoy exploring all that the Peak District has to offer, including National Trust estates, local walks on country footpaths, vigorous climbs to the highest peaks, cycling along disused railway lines and Easter inspired events.
We have an Easter Egg hunt planned for Easter Sunday and Forest Camp woodland activities can be booked for children aged 9-12 (subject to availability). Ask Reception for details callowhall@wildhive.uk
Chatsworth House, Gardens & Farmyard
Acres of gardens and natural parkland to explore, pops of yellow daffodils and cascading waterfalls. This magnificent stately home is one of the highlights of the county and with 25 rooms and an extensive art collection, there is much to discover inside and out. Chatsworth House opens for the season on 21st March.
Chatsworth are hosting events for all the family, including:
- House Of Stories (March to October)
- Evening Lambing
- Walking Tours
- Play in the Pinetum, family trail, tractor rides, den building
- Meet the animals in the Farmyard, with guinea pig & chick handling
Gift shop, café, restaurant. Dogs welcome in the garden and park. Dog friendly seating area at the Carriage House Café

Spring Walks in the Peak District
From the bright yellow flowering daffodils to the cute lambs hopping across the fields, explore the hills and dales of our surrounding countryside and the Peak District National Park.
APRIL OPEN DAYS
Tissington Hall & Village
Just 40 mins cycle up the traffic-free Tissington Trail, is the beautiful village of Tissington and the 400 year old home of the FitzHerberts, Tissington Hall.
The Hall is open to visitors for guided tours between 12 and 3.00pm from 6th-10th April
Why not combine a visit to the Hall with refreshments at Herberts Tea Rooms. Open from 10.30am-3.30pm for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea.

Matlock Farm Park

This popular Farm for younger children will be hosting Easter Holiday fun activities including:
- Meet the lambs
- Chick encounter
- Sheep and ferret racing
- Sheep maternity ward
