Mixed Media Botanical Workshop
We are delighted that local artist, Kate Dawes will be returning to Wildhive Callow Hall to host these popular botanical mixed media workshops, inspired by the floral prints at Wildhive and followed by lunch in the Garden Room.

Pen, Watercolour & Collage
Join artist Kate Dawes for a relaxed pen, watercolour & collage workshop. Suitable for all abilities.
Small workshops ~ max 15 people.
Inspired by the floral collage artwork adorning the walls at Wildhive Callow Hall, local artist Kate Dawes will show you how to create a beautiful botanical collage artwork.
Collage is a technique that involves assembling and combining various pieces onto a single surface to create a unified composition.
In this fine art collage workshop, you will use flowers, foliage, and plants in pots for inspiration. Kate will show you different pen and 'dry' watercolour techniques to create paper petals, flowers, leaves, and vessels and how to compose and assemble them to create a beautiful A4 collage artwork.
If you wish, you can bring fabrics, dried flowers/leaves or other elements to embellish your collage work.

In this drawing workshop, Kate will show you different pen and 'dry' watercolour techniques to create a beautiful A4 artwork.
If you wish, you can bring your own flowers that you would like to draw.

ABOUT KATE
Art and creativity has always been a big part of Kate's life. For the last 25 years she has worked in the creative and photographic industries via Paris, Vancouver, Mallorca and London. Being lucky enough to have art directed, produced and edited for the likes of the BBC, Red Magazine, Ford and numerous catalogues it seemed the right moment that instead of just working on her own creative projects behind the scenes it was time to put them centre stage.
This is how Kate's wall art has made it out into the wide world. She has come full circle, returning to the countryside to her childhood stomping ground and has decided to be brave and showcase her work inspired by the wonders of nature and her passion for all things botanical.

Why not enjoy a relaxing stay at Callow Hall and stay the night where you can fully enjoy the grounds of our country retreat, head off for a walk or a bike ride or book a calming treatment in the Coach House.

- Classes are subject to availability
- Full deposit required at the booking date
- Cancellations must be made a minimum of two weeks prior to the workshop, otherwise a refund may not be possible
- Very rarely, we may need to cancel or postpone a class, course or workshop because of circumstances out of our control or if a course is under-subscribed. If you are a confirmed attendee, we will let you know as soon as possible. We are not obliged to offer alternative dates or date if the reason for the cancellation is not down to us. This is down to our discretion but you will be offered a full refund for the workshop.
